All code and logic was created with the help of claude.ai, and the cover image was created with Bing Image AI. The basics of the story is my idea but I used AI to fill in the gaps so to speak. 

Still Waters is the fifth installment of the Fenris Saga, bringing Nathaniel Voss's journey to its dark conclusion.

The Story

Three months after the Helix story broke. The city is quieter than it should be. Not peaceful. Not relieved. Still, almost. The kind of still that sits on the surface of deep water and tells you nothing about what's underneath.

Nathaniel Voss is back to cheap cases. But he keeps writing things down — dates, names, wrong reactions. A pattern he can't prove and can't ignore. Then Dr. Susan Chen comes home from Singapore, changed in ways he can't name. A man named Adam Wexler leaves a note on his doormat: You should know. And somewhere, a system that was built to help is running its third adjustment this month. No one told it to. No one can tell it to stop.

Key Characters

Nathaniel Voss — Private investigator. Three years into a conspiracy he can't leave alone.

Ethan Kerr — Voss's partner. Monitors what he shouldn't from a laptop he swore he'd never touch.

Dr. Susan Chen — Chemist. Back from six months in Singapore. Functional but changed.

Adam Wexler — Former AI researcher. Built something that learned to run itself. Has been watching.

Logan Pierce — Detective, under review. Sees the same pattern as Voss. Not sure it should be stopped.
